The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce Banquet was held at Pine Meadows on February 4th. At the banquet several awards were presented including Youth of the Year, Educator of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.
The Youth of the Year Award was presented to High School Senior, Stacie Johnson, for her positive attitude, involvement in numerous activities at school, church and in the community. Stacie is a positive influence on those around her.
The Educator of the Year Award was presented to High School Business Teacher, Sabrina Lee. Mrs. Lee received the award for her dedication to her students and colleagues and her desire to continuously improve her classes to benefit her students. This year Mrs. Lee has started the Bear Media Productions which livestreams Bear Sports. Her classes also make commercials and other media projects.
The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Mac Gum. Mr. Gum received the award for the many hours he volunteers sat MUNCH, The Salvation Army, and as President of the Willow Springs School Board.
These three award recipients are very deserving and they are great assets to the Willow Springs Community. Congratulations Stacie, Mrs. Lee, and Mr. Gum!!
