New Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures to Enhance Safety and Alleviate Traffic Congestion
In an ongoing effort to ensure the safety of our students and community, the Willow Springs School District is implementing new pick-up and drop-off procedures beginning the first day of school on August 19, 2024.
Key Changes:
New Line-Up Route:
All vehicles for pick-up and drop-off should now line up from Campbell to 3rd Street, instead of Campbell to Main Street. This adjustment is designed to prevent traffic congestion that has previously overwhelmed the pick-up line, blocked Casey's parking lot, and shut down parts of Main Street. Redirecting traffic to 3rd Street will help alleviate congestion on Main Street and around Casey's.
One-Way Streets:
Campbell Street will become a one-way street from 4th to High Street.
High Street will be one-way from Campbell to Garfield.
Previously, the drop-off location was on High Street without utilizing the parking lot. The new procedures aim to utilize the parking lot and streamline traffic flow and enhance safety for all.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we implement these changes. Together, we can ensure a smoother and safer experience for everyone.
