
Mrs. Green took a group of students to Jefferson City on March 4th for the Youth Art Month's Award Assembly!
We had students represent the Willow Springs Middle School and Elementary School!
Elsie Lemon won Primary Elementary Honorable Mention for the state!
Each teacher gets to pick four works of art to represent their school. The art is displayed at the capital for the month of March.

Students wanting to order a middle school yearbook need to grab an order form from the student information center or in Mr. Kharitonov's room. Prices will raise on April 1st.
Elementary has soft cover yearbooks for $25.00 and hardcover yearbooks for $30.00. Parents can order online this year by visiting https://inter-state.com/order and using the code 82351R. Parents can also send a check written out to Willow Springs Schools/Elementary yearbook. Orders are due by May 10th.


We would like to thank our local EAA Chapter 1218 for giving our Aviation students a tour of their facility last week!
Students also learned about some of the projects that have been completed by the Chapter along with some of the projects they are currently working on.
EAA Chapter 1218 offers multiple opportunities to assist young people looking to enter into the world of aviation, and they have been very supportive of our Aviation students and our new Aviation program!

The 7th grade BETA team consisting of Hayden Pitts, Aubrey Miller, Adalynn Siler, and Avery Foster competed at the Missouri State BETA convention last week!
We had two students qualify for the National BETA convention that is in Savannah Georgia!
Adalynn Siler placed 5th in solo dance and also received a Gold Ticket, which means she was picked to perform in the opening ceremony at Nationals in June!
Avery Foster placed 2nd in digital enchanted photography!
We are so proud of all the students and their hard work! 🥳

Mrs. Land's 3rd graders have been learning about food chains and habitats in science this semester!
This past week they completed their habitat projects. Students chose a habitat, researched it online/using books and articles, then they created their habitat and presented it to their class.
Mrs. Land says they worked really hard and did a terrific job!

The Willow Springs High School Quizbowl team had a great showing at the SCA Competition last weekend!
The Varsity team placed second, Daniel Iacovlev and Sophia Barrett placed top ten in JV individuals and Marcus King placed top ten in Varsity individuals!

The Willow Springs Rotary Club recently visited the 2nd grade class to read the story Andy and Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure and to teach about Rotary’s Four Way Test!
They gave each student an apple and activity book! The students had so much fun!

Join us tonight from 5-7 pm for our Elementary Family Fun Night and Community Showcase!
The Community Showcase is a way our district can share the amazing opportunities our students have when they step into the classrooms of the Willow Springs School District. Community members and Bear families will be able to experience projects completed in a variety of content areas. Some teachers and students will showcase different activities that attendees can experience for themselves.
The Elementary School will have crafts set up in the cafeteria, the book fair will be going on in the library and chromebooks will be available for AR testing.
There will also be food trucks set up!


The Willow Springs FFA hosted a petting zoo today for our elementary students!🐮

Congratulations to the Willow Chess Team on a great showing at the Gainesville Chess Tournament this past Saturday! ♟
The elementary team placed second! Calvin Wake and Israelia Dunn shared the third individual spot with two wins and a draw each and Logan Dunn placed sixth.
The middle school team were the champions! Sebastian Puher went undefeated in first place, Otto Schuette placed third with four wins in six games, Braylon Wake placed fourth with three wins and a draw, and Heidi Bennet and Maximus Leyton tied for fifth with three wins each.
The high school team placed second! Kyle Collins-Redd went undefeated in first place, Luke Mansfield tied for ninth, Matt Sabulao tied for 13th, and Joe Mansfield was in 18th out of 28.
Congratulations! The state competition is on March 16.
